I can't remove restrictions from my account.

I'm trying to remove restrictions from my Microsoft account that prevent me from playing on Minecraft servers and with friends. When I do what the instructions in the app say, nothing happens and there is no option to let me do this. Why isn't it working?

Also, I wasn't quite sure what category to put this in. This was the most relevant. I'm on an IPad, so idk what 'Product' either.

Are these Family Safety Restrictions? Have you asked your parents to remove them? If so and it still does, then what works best for Family Safety problems we see here every day is to remove the child from Family Safety, restart PC, then add him/her back. Tutorial

If it's your device and you're the Admin you can also change to a Local Account to get rid of the Restrictions, in Settings > Accounts > Your Info > Sign in with Local Account Instead. Now try signing into your game to see if it still restricts you.

If you're the Admin on the device you can change to a Local Account and you're free of all restrictions. I explained how.

Ask your parents to remove you from the Family as a test. I explained how.

Hi! Thanks for the response. My parents have tried to remove the restrictions but could see no option to allow me to do what I wanted short of changing my age, which isn't ideal.

I'm not quite sure what type of restrictions they are, but they existed before I even joined the 'family' I'm in.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'If it's your device'. It is my device, but I don't get what you mean by Admin. 😄
