    I can't redeem gears of war 4 promotional codes for older versions of the game. I am getting this error code along with the message:

    Something went wrong
    Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering the code below at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate.

    error codes gears of war 1, 2, 3, 4

    The codes that were sent as part of the promotional game GEARS OF WAR 4 leave me erroneous and is not the first time it happens. Previously with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition same step but only with the code Gears of War 3 I could never redeem again and
    have the same problem with the same version of the game.

    Can't redeem a code

    I bought gears of war 4 and it included the 4 previous games from the 360. I can only redeem the codes of gears 2 and gears Judgment and can't redeem those of gears 3 and gears 1

    That code is usually the sign of a region issue. Does your account region match your physical location?

    keep in mind it has to be true region

    You cannot select any region you must live in an Xbox LIVE region and select that region and not China or japan to redeem them

    Gears of war 1 and 3 are region specific

    The codes are universal but the games.check for.region compliancecompliance for good reason as the Games do a triple check

    Account region plus actual region and console region (also the language region so for example France France and english won't work

    Has it to be France France French for it to work

    If you are in an non supported region you.will fail it and not able to download them till you do live in an Xbox live region

    And yes ms continued to add them

    Not to.mention gears isn't allowed in certain regions due to content and licensing laws

    Gears of War 4 Promotion

    Hey there ListPrivate,

    The website you're linking to is actually for the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition promotion and not the actual promotion for Gears of War 4. You can find more info on that promotion

    HERE    . To clarify, only codes for the Backward Compatible titles are sent. There is no promotion that offers the Remastered Ultimate Edition currently.

    Gears of War:Ultimate Edition is a stand alone game. It is the remastered version of the first Gears of War game. It does not include the other 4 games. The other 4 games are the original 360 versions and were included in 2 different promotions. You would
