If you purchase a gift card for a starter pack that you already own, you will not receive the V-Bucks again. The V-Bucks are only given once per account, regardless of how many times you purchase the starter pack.

This Starter Pack is not available in the Item Shop. You must go to the ‘Store’ tab to purchase. Starter Pack purchases go directly through Microsoft Store. The Starter Pack has a cost of $4.99 and must
be purchased with real currency, you can not use existing V-Bucks.

You can't get free V-Bucks unless you bought the "Save the World" mode for Fortnite.

According to the official Epic Games page, when Vbucks do not appear in the account after being redeemed, you must log in to Fortnite on the same platform where you used your secondary code.
