I can’t receive messages

Discus and support I can’t receive messages in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; for some reason, I can’t receive messages.     I can’t receive messages


    for some reason, I can’t receive messages. My chats tab never updates when I clear chats, and any messages that get sent to me never have notifications and they don’t appear in the chats tab. Whenever I send messages it says “message sent” and a friend
    of mine confirmed in a party that they received them, but when they sent messages back they didn’t appear. Help would be appreciated.

    Maybe problem with Xbox LIVE services. Maybe you have BAN on communication.

    Check your privacy settings and make sure you can receive messages from everyone/your friends.

    Could be a problem with your network, thats happened to me lately and I either reset my router or just keep gaming and it will work normally. Try going to settings and checking your network connection to see if everything is good and maybe reset the router
    if you are comfortable with that. It might not be a 100% fix but its worth a try. Is this the first time it has happened?

    Hello Playah!

    Let's start with some chat solutions here:

    Before you send and receive messages, also referred to as chats, consider choosing who can communicate with you by text and voice—on Xbox Live and in multiplayer games outside of Xbox Live. Do this by pressing the Xbox button on
    your controller to open the guide, then select System > Settings > Account> Privacy & online safety > Xbox
    Live privacy     > View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer.

    Note Group messages (messages to more than one person) sent before the May 2019 update will not be available after May 2019. We apologize for any inconvenience. To save copies of important group messages, do the following:

    1. Sign in at support.xbox.com.
    2. Select your gamertag in the top right of your browser, then select Xbox Profile > Messages.
    3. Choose a message to save, then copy and paste its contents into email or a file to be saved.

    To receive messages

    Messages you receive from friends and other people you’ve exchanged messages with will appear among your chats.

    New messages from people not already on your friends list will appear under

    Message requests.
