I can’t put my Xbox 360 profile on my Xbox one and I don’t know what to do

Today I bought an old Xbox 360 as a part of a retro room set up and for some reason the console wouldn’t connect to the Internet as I was setting the console up, I set it to the wrong time zone and then I corrected it in the settings. when I tried to sign into Xbox live it kept disconnecting my profile, despite having my usual Internet connection settings so I thought the wired connection didn’t work so I went to my main Xbox 360 in my living room, and for some reason that wouldn’t connect to Xbox live either now so I deleted my profile from both my console’s then try to re-download my profile on my main console and a screen popped up right as it was 10% downloading “sorry, there’s a problem with the cadential’s you’re using to sign in” so then I tried to re-download my profile on my old Xbox. I just bought today and the same problem happened so then I tried to test it on my Xbox one to see if everything was OK and my Xbox one couldn’t connect to Xbox live while in 360 backwards compatible mode so then I tried to re-download the profile on my Xbox one and it basically got rid of my profile on Xbox 360 backwards compatible mode and what’s really weird is that right now on my Xbox profile it says I’m on the Xbox 360 dashboard despite none of my Xbox consoles being on at this very time. now I can’t play my Xbox 360 games on my Xbox one anymore and I’m freaking out because I have loads of progress on my games and I don’t wanna have to delete my Xbox profile just so I can play on my Xbox 360 again, any kind of fix would be extremely helpful

Hi Shawn! I'll be glad to assist you here.

I believe that the issue here may be with your internet connectivity. I would suggest that you reset your router/modem or gateway by turning them off and unplug them from their power source for few minutes before turning them back on.

On your Xbox consoles, please power cycle them as well. Press and hold the Xbox power button for 10 sec until it turns off. Unplug from the power source for few minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

To further isolate the issue, try to connect to a different network. You could use your mobile data hotspot if possible.

I can’t connect to Xbox live on 360 back compatible games. The rest of the Xbox one behaves normally. I know it’s not a problem with my console because both my old 360 and the 360 emulator on the Xbox one do it.

I thought maybe the problem was on my end so I did a soft reset. Now the 360 emulator on the Xbox one has no profile on it. I can’t download my profile to it because it can’t connect to Xbox live. So I can’t save at all in back compatible games.

Is it a regional problem? Is it down for maintenance? The status page doesn’t mention anything.

It’s not a child account, it’s my personal account.

In the past, I was available to download xbox 360 games, but since some weeks ago, i can’t do it.

Xbox original games neither.

I don’t know what to do...

Please help.

Thanks for the suggestion, but once again, i can’t use my xbox so i don’t know how i’d do a factory reset if i can’t use my xbox

Okay sorry if I’m still not getting it. I don’t know why I can’t comprehend it. Lol

But to clarify:

My profile (game pass buyer) on my console (series S) needs to be set as home Xbox.

My mom’s profile on her console (Xbox one) needs to be set as home Xbox. My profile on that console does not.

I can’t put my Xbox 360 profile on my Xbox one and I don’t know what to do
