I cant play with my friend from pc to ipad we both are using bedrock edition on the latest...

If I may ask, what is the exact error or issue that you’re experiencing whenever you’re trying to play with your friend so I can check that for you?

There is no error code, we simply cannot see each other under the friends tab when we are playing minecraft. I am on PC and they are on swtich, both bedrock editions. They are on my friends list but they are listed as offline even when they are playing

Only wish greedy Microsoft let me play Minecraft Bedrock edition on PC as I already paid for it on IPad.

May I know if your minecraft Bedrock edition is on the latest version?

If yes, could you try sign out and sign in with the account that owns Bedrock edition from both Microsoft store and Xbox app

Also, you could try using another Microsoft account that owns the game to see if the issue persists (can be a friend's account)
