I can’t play slime rancher 2?

I have bought slime rancher 2 however it will not let me play it. I then purchased the ultimate pass for £1 and now it lets me play it. This does not make sense to me. Will I be able to play slime rancher 2 when my ultimate pass runs out? I’m really confused as to why it doesn’t work.

I have bought the game but it didn’t let me play it. Because I wanted to play it I then bought the ultimate pass. I own the game however it only works when I have the ultimate pass

I have bought the game but it still didn’t let me play it for some reason? This is why I’m confused. I’m not new to Xbox and I have never had this issue before. Perhaps it is because it is only playable on cloud gaming and this is why I can’t play it? After I tried playing it and failed so I bought the ultimate pass and then it worked. This is why I’m confused. Hopefully that makes sense and I appreciate your help!

Thank you for taking the time to write to us again, and I think not, remember that when your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription ends, access to the games included in that subscription will be lost.

and even if you leave them installed, if you try to open them it won't let you unless you renew the subscription or buy the games.
