I can't play my bf1 multiplayer in my xbox

Do you a gold membership active ?

you can easily check that by preszing your home button, go under your profile: you’ll see just near your name if you are gold, ultimate, or whatever.

Do you have an XBOX Live Gold membership? Most games require it in order to play multiplayer. If you do with only one account, try setting the XBOX as a home console. Is it only in BF1, or everything?

I have never heard anyone talking in multiplayer.

Although BF1 has audio settings implying there is team chat.

Games get updated, they have to be these days because bugs get missed etc. also content is pushed out in game updates and not just in DLC.

Multiplayer games all have to be the same version, you cant have person X playing BF1 (version 1.4) and person Y also playing BF1 (version 1.45) it causes problems like you wouldn't believe.

Microsoft heard people complaining when we had the Xbox 360 about the updates, so what did they do? they made a system that could download updates etc when it was switched off. Its not their fault that you find this solution "pretty ridiculous". This is
the only solution that they have, if you don't like it perhaps jump ship and get a Nintendo Switch, I have one and you very rarely get updates on that system, and when you do they are fairly small updates.

I do want MS or game developer updating my games, but I want to install it at my convenience. When I turn on the xbox to play a game, I want to play a game and not wait for an update to finish.

True, for multiplayer games it can be different, but for single-player, let my xbox download during my game play, and install the update next time I start the game again. or give me the option to install the update... Much friendlier!

I really liked Battlefield 5, I can say I felt more joy playing BF1 but I can't say BFV is a game to avoid. I respect your opinion.
