    Good Morning people,

    i've a xbox 360 slim with 4g of capacity, and a external hd with 1Tb but isn't a xbox one, when i start my Destiny (physical media) he tells me to put a hd from xbox 360, what i have to do to not spend more money with that, the both were very expensive...

    External HD issues

    I have attached an external HD. I can see it in system settings. I have formatted it. However whenever I try to play Destiny, I get the error message "You must have an Xbox 360 Hard Drive in order to play Destiny." Don't know what else to do.

    I re-instaled the game many times, clear the cash memory, install external HD, but WO success.

    Someone have a tip?

    New Hard Disk for XBOX One

    EL GIESTAS--A SSD might be faster than an external HD but the external ones are easier to install. You just plug and play and they are relatively cheap these days. I use a 2TB Seagate external HD for my Xbox 360 and an 8 TB Seagate external HD for my Xbox
    One and have had no problems with either. You just plug them in, let your system reformat them to use on your system of choice and 20 seconds or so later you can start saying games, apps and anything else you want to them.

    And to echo Genesis1953, there's still no way to open your Xbox One to install a new HD without voiding your warranty.

    Hello, sadly I don't have the answer but I would also like to know if this will work the other way around. I have a ton of saved Xbox 360 content on my Seagate external but I'm running out of room on my Xbox One HD. I would like to use the Seagate external
    for saves on my one as well without losing my 360 content. Thanks.

    Hi AyeYaya,

    It sounds that the external HD may have gotten corrupted causing the Xbox One to shutdown since you are able to use the console fine without the external HD plugged in.

    Do you happen to have another external HD that meets the requirements for testing purposes? Or would you happen to be able to try that HD on another Xbox?

    You may need to delete what you have on there, re-format the HD for the Xbox One, and then download what you had on there again.
