I can’t play cross platform minecraft because I forgot the email I used

Hello, in 2019-20 ish I made a Microsoft account to play minecraft with a buddy and then I came back after a couple months and I’d forgotten the email I used. I tired every email I had and nothing worked and it’s been about a year since I last played minecraft and a couple friends wanna play.

I’ve tired to get in using every email I own yet it keeps saying “oops this account is already connected please sign in with your previously connected Microsoft account” problem being i don’t know which account it is.

(I’m on PlayStation)

Hello Rxan, since you don't remember the email from the account that owns your Minecraft, you should try to remember what the account is or follow the steps below to see if you can find the email you used for the account.

Xbox Support can’t provide this information, even if you know your Gamertag.

Recover using your Alternate phone number or email address:

1. All you need to do is to go to https://account.live.com

2. Click on Sign in

3. Choose sign in options

4. Choose Forgot my username from there you will be ask for alternate email or phone number that you use with that account, if you enter it correctly then you will be able to see the right email for your account.

This is a cross platform issue, it works for fortnite and Minecraft because you could be playing against PC players, it doesn't work for other games that are not cross platform though. Imagine if you could use a keyboard and mouse in BO4 for instance,
it wouldn't be fair!

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are trying to recover the account. You will be unable to do the account recovery form as you need to know the email. The best option is request a call from support. They can look up the gamer tag.
If the can VERIFY the account they can provide the information.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

Step 1 ----click on Contact us
Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next

Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.
