i cant play backwards compatible games because there is two versions of my account?

If you've ever run into a situation where you forgot your password and went to change your password, it's possible that you may have created a secondary account that you continued to use instead of the primary one. That's at least my first thought when reading through the problem you're describing here.

Alternatively, if your 360 information were compromised, you could attempt to use the Xbox 360 Profile Protection tools (direct link) to force a soft reset/disconnect of your Xbox 360 profiles and then log back into them when you launch a 360 game again from your Xbox console.

Out of curiosity, have you already attempted to contact Xbox Support to have someone review your account?

same email, different password. the passwords back then had to fit the xbox 360’s 12 character limit. the password has since changed over the years and xbox now allows more than 12 characters, and the current password is over 12 characters.

Are you sure that those two are the same account? I mean the same email address and password?

I suggest you try to first check if that's the case here. If so, that's no reason for your Gamertag to appear different on your 360 and on your One, since they're the same account.

No,i'm afraid not.Each console has their own version of Minecraft so you can't play between the two consoles.

The only time you can do that is on backwards compatible games but Minecraft isn't backwards compatible.

As long as it's a backwards compatible game, you can play with them. It's the same version of the game. There's not a special version or anything to have it be backwards compatible.
