I can't login to my account because I'm not getting sent a verification code

I have tried to login to my Microsoft account to edit my privacy settings and it would like me to login by sending a verification code and I have to enter the backup email which I know and is very simple for me to enter it in it is a Gmail account but every time (which I've tried about 50 times) I have put in the correct email which there is no way I could be messing it up I do not get sent a code and it also give you the option of changing the verification code to phone but then I have to wait a full f****** month and at this point this is really just overkill on the security cause I can barley get into my account and it should be the most simple thing ever even my Pokémon go account allows me to get into my account easier then this. The reason I would like to be able to change the privacy settings is to access the Xbox LFG which I also needed Xbox live for which I've paid for a moth of and if I have to wait a month to get into my account through using my phone to get the code just so I can change one privacy setting this is kind of ridiculous I'm surprised one of the best software company in the world that this simple system that every other company can do is this much of a pain for me to just be able to use an LFG system.

Also I have checked the spam and everything on my account for an email there isn't anything there.

Support also didn't help at all.

Also I can't do anything on my account and when I finally can in a month from now I wont even need it cause my game pass subscription would have run out

Thanks for trying to help but I managed to find a fix yesterday

although I still got to wait a month if I want to access privacy settings and anything else but my problems fixed so dont really care that much

I have a couple of questions for you before I begin investigating:

1. Where are you trying to log in?

2. Is there any information provided as to why you have to wait a month to change your verification method from email to sms?

3. Are you having issues access your Microsoft account anywhere else?

... I can get in on my console, but only with four remaining pre-verification email logins. I can't get in on the computer because I can't remember the password (heroic, I know), I can't get a reset email, likely because I'm not verified, and I can't get
verified because I can't login.

I read there were problems on their end with not being sent a reset email, and I hope that's the case rather than it being that I'm not verified. Means I'd be able to get a reset email sent.

I got minecrat from Microsoft Store. So the account I bought was already a microsoft account. My account has nothing to do with mojang. I can't send verification code because I didn't get it from Mojang. My account is already microsoft account, why do I need verification but? I'm not a Mojang account
