I cant join or be joined by my girlfriend on ark survival evolved

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues with Ark Survival where your girlfriend cannot join your server.

Please make sure that you and your friends' Ark versions are exactly the same. Once confirmed that the versions are identical, log out from your account, close Ark then log back in. These steps usually work for most of these types of issues.

If the initial steps did not work, delete and re-add your friend from your friend's list. Let me know how it goes.

You will also need to ask your friends to configure their Xbox/Windows Online Safety settings to allow Minecraft to communicate over the Internet and make sure that the CLUBS and MULTIPLAYER settings are both set to ALLOWED.

Here's how to manage your online safety and privacy settings:

Sign in to your Microsoft account at Xbox.com.

Select your gamertag, and then select the More actions button (…).

Select Xbox settings, and then select Privacy & online safety. Because you're accessing sensitive info, you might have to enter your password or PIN.

Select either the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 devices Online Safety tab or the Privacy tab.

Review the current settings and update any that you want to change, and then select Submit to save the changes.

Note: You must select Submit at the bottom of the page before leaving or switching to another tab. If you don't submit the changes before you move to the other tab, your changes won't be saved.

My friends haven’t been able to join me on ARK Survival Evolved (Non-Dedicated Session), Astroneer, Kingdom Two Crowns and there may be others I don’t remember.

The weird thing is that sometimes they can join me on those games and other times they can’t and it says “Failed to Connect”.

In order to isolate a bit more your issue, is this happening with this specific friend the issue?

Do you know if you and your friend have crossplay enabled?

And which troubleshooting steps you have done so far to fix this, in that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed

Ark Survival Evolved is a full game, and Ark Extinction is an add-on. Your title and description are contrary to each other and so I'm confused.

If you purchased Ark Survival Evolved then you should be just able to play it. However, if you purchased Ark Extinction then you must also purchase Ark
Survival Evolved.
