I cant join my friends lobby in world at war

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues joining your friend's lobby. Please test your network connectivity to check for any possible errors that's causing the issue that you're experiencing:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.

Select Test network connection.

As part of our troubleshooting, kindly make sure that you and your friend's game version are exactly the same.

Once confirmed, kindly logout from your Xbox by pressing the Xbox button, select Profile & system, and then select Sign out to sign out and back in. Check for the game once more after logging back in.

If the initial steps did not work, delete and re-add your friend from your friend's list. Make sure that you and your friend does this at the same time. Let me know how it goes.

I have the same Issue, but whenever I join another world that my friend hosts it works but I cant play a Local World.

Not true. Remember, World at War has hacked lobbies now. So it's pretty easy to get 10th prestige right away. A lot of my friends got 10th because of joining zombies matches and the hacker was there.

Then again, the fact that he got all the cheevos in one day, doesn't help in his case at all.

sorry im late to respond.ye i play regular multiplayer but my friend cant join they dont receive error code its just say unable to connect to the world and i can play with my other friend but not with him and i cant even join to his world too.sorry for my bad english

Basically you're playing with random people it doesn't matter if your american friend joins with you. You can end up in a lobby with different other players around the world, and theres no way to join into the american lobbies.
