    I cant join my friends ARK server


    I cant join my friends password protected unofficial ARK server even though I have the correct password! He plays on Xbox I play on pc but I got the game from game pass pc, I don't know how to fix it I've been trying multiple things and nothing has worked, I've tried resetting, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, I tried to see if I had updates for ARK, I've tried telling my friend to reset the server and check if he has updates, seeing if he can change the password, but nothing has worked, all my friends can join the server but me, I can play ARK normally single player, I can join random people servers but I just cant join my friends server, I don't know what to do. It Just says Invalid Password and Lost/timedout pending connection to host.

    Ark: Survival Evolved Crossplay

    Ark Survival Evolved does allow Cross-play with PC and Xbox consoles. I used my PC to host a dedicated server for about 2 months for me and a bunch of friends to play together on our own server. We all connected to the server from our Xbox consoles. Do you

    I ran Ark through this program and was able to invite my Xbox friends to it much easier. It also allowed my friends to add the server as a friend and jump in whenever they wanted. If you do not Plan on using the Xbox companion app
    on your PC, you can always host your server and give your Xbox friend the server name and password that you create and they can go in to "Join an Ark" then filter the servers shown to quickly find yours and join it.

    Thanks for the reply. All of the above are in order. I have 10mbps download and 6mbps upload. I have an open nat and no error messages. I am connected to xbox live but when i want to join the official server on ark it still say cant retrieve address and
    then i have to try again. I have been trying to connect for 3hours now and still cant join or get in the server. Is this an xbox issue or is it an ark issue. Appreciate the assistance and info..

    I can join other host and I can invite my friends to dedicated server that I set up on Windows 10 with my second account but when I look for server on my Xbox 1 with my main account I never see the server that I made on the server list on ark

    More info, I rent Ark servers from Nitrado. Some players are able to join the servers and others are not able to join.
