I can't join groups on Xbox Live

Hello players.

Help guys ... I'm desperate here.

I use Xbox 360 with Xbox Live Gold activated every few days for 1 year. However, when I try to join a group created by a friend or create one myself and invite it, I can't participate with any friend of mine in a group. I get direct invitations from my friends
to join their groups, but it always fails when I try to join. It says, "Couldn't connect to the Xbox Live group. There may be problems with the network."

I have normal internet access without any problem connecting at home, my console is connected via cable through my router and even so I can't play more than group, just alone in multiplayer games.

One detail: whenever I turn on the console and connect the cable or via Wi-Fi when doing the network test, the problem with a yellow question mark (NAT) appears, but I only disable the router for about 5 minutes and active again with the Xbox connection
and back to normal. Does this have something to do with the problem of not being able to join groups of my friends? If so, help me please. Thank you in advance for your help.

It most definitely does, NAT. Performing a NAT Test will also often get the UPnP settings correct with your router.

Hey Andrea,

When you say "impossible to join a group", do you mean that it says "Can't connect to Xbox Live party" or something similar to that?

Clean your console's MAC, restart your internet devices for a few minutes and try again.

To clean the MAC follow this path
Settings>general>network settings>advanced settings>alternative MAC address and click clear and restart the console when prompted.

If the problem persists reset the console to factory defaults, you won't lose anything but you will need to log in with your account again. Email and password are required.

Follow this path and select reset keeping games and app.
In 5 to 10 minutes you will finish reconfiguring your console

To reset the console>
Settings> System> Console Info> Reset Console

***Do not reset your console without having your account email and password.***
