    I can't join friends games on AOE 3 but they are able to join me?


    On age of empires 3 definitive edition I can not join friends game for ranked battle but they can join mine

    Kindly test your NAT type:

    The Xbox Console Companion app provides the easiest way to check your NAT type. To do this, press Start, type Xbox, and select Xbox Console Companion.

    If you don’t have the Xbox console companion app, open the Microsoft store from the Start menu. Then search for the Xbox console companion app and select it.

    Click on Get.

    Once installed, click Open.

    In the console companion app, click on Settings (the gear icon) in the sidebar.

    Then click on the Network tab.

    Wait for the app to connect and retrieve details.

    You will now see your NAT type.

    You need your NAT type to be Open to resolve this issue. You also want to be sure there are no errors such as Double NAT detected or UPnP not successful displayed.

    Open NAT: You're able to play and host multiplayer games with people who have any NAT type on their network.

    Moderate NAT: You might not be able to play multiplayer games with some people, and normally you won't be chosen as the host of a match.

    Strict NAT: You're only able to play multiplayer games with people who have an OPEN NAT type. You can't be chosen as the host of a match.

    Unavailable NAT: If NAT is unavailable, you’ll be unable to use party chat or connect to multiplayer games for some Xbox titles.

    If the status says Teredo is unable to qualify, it means your PC is unable to obtain a Teredo IP address.

    Please let me know the results once you're done.

    I can't message or join my friends. But they can message me (but I don't receive the message) and they can join me (this was the only way we were able to play together).
