i cant install any games from the xbox game pass on my pc.

i have been having this problem for a very long time. back when halo infinite first came out.

i can not install any games that are on the game pass. i can only install them if i actually buy them.

yes, i have game pass, i have paid for everything.

yes, i have updated windows.

yes, i have updated the app.

yes, i have done every single run around off every single guide i can get my hands on.

ive reset the app, ive repaired the app, ive ran the commands on powershell, ive reinstalled windows.

it does not work, never has worked.

all i get is error 0x87e00196.

last time i reported this fault i was told i just had to wait for a fix. that still hasnt actually happened.

even googling that somehow just puts me back on the loop of the same steps ive already done.

I have purchased Xbox game pass, yet whenever I try to install a game from the Xbox app on windows 10 it prompts me to 'Join game pass". I double check and I have indeed paid for it and my account page seems to recognize this, but I cant access
any of its features. Please help!

did you install the Xbox App beta as explained here https://www.xbox.com/xbox-game-pass/pc-games ?

If yes, I suggest you try to logout from the account and login again in order to update the account information.

i have done as you asked.

my region in the bottom left is and always has been set to the uk.

i have gone through the options as described and the end results of contact was the community forums or ask a gamer.

when using the virtual assistant and going throught the options, my options become community forums or ask a gamer.

so i still have no way to do a live chat with microsoft.

If not, please select the country/region it is showing and select the correct one among the lists.

i can confirm to you i have neither the xbox game pass or the pc game pass.

i have the ultimate pass, which is both.

so your getting more money out of me, for something that has never worked.

We have found possible cause why downloading and installing games is possible when your purchase the game separately and not able to do it from Xbox Game Pass library even if your subscription is active.

One possible reason we have thought is about your subscription. Can you confirm if your subscription is Xbox Game Pass Subscription PC or Xbox Game Pass Subscription- Console? If your subscription is Xbox Game Pass for Console then this could be the reason why you cannot download any games in PC because the subscription is intended for Xbox Console only.
