    I can't hear myself with mic-monitoring


    I'm not sure what's going on. I have tried with three different headsets and two different controllers, but I can only faintly hear my voice through my headsets.

    Here's what I have tried:

    Xbox One Day One Edition

    Wireless Controller for Xbox One Model 1697

    PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller for Xbox One White

    Turtle Beach Recon 200

    Turtle Beach Recon 70Xbox One - Headset - Wired - Afterglow LVL3 (PDP)

    Mic Monitoring is ON

    Headset volume, and chat mixer are in the middle

    Mic monitoring slider is all the way to the right.

    The mic is working, as everyone can hear me, and I can hear everyone.

    I've contacted Turtle Beach, and they suggested that I try a new controller (hence the PowerA).

    I've also tried shutting the Xbox unit off and turning it back on. I've also tried resetting the unit without wiping any of the data on it.

    Id love a response to this. im on 4 controllers (all official microsoft xb1 controllers) and three headsets (two turtle beach and one Microsoft stereo headset ) Console is up to date, a first gen controller up to date. A 2nd gen controller that i bought.
    And 2 brand new controllers that came with my one x.... All also with updated firmware. All headset functions work properly on all combos except for mic monitoring . Monitoring is on and set to 10. I can chat and hear game sound but cant hear myself through
    mic monitoring unless the mic is shoved down my throat. This is getting very frustrating for my household and friends I play with when i end up yelling. Please. Help.

    Have you updated the controller firmware?

    Settings>Devices>Accessories
    It says no update needed.

    Early Xbox One Turtle Beach buyers...

    I simply can't hear myself when I am gaming, if I am sat at the dashboard and put the mic near my mouth an listen I can hear myself but only just on max volume, when I play a game the mic volume doesn't adjust for the game sound so I can't hear myself, hence
    no mic monitoring (and an unhappy happy family trying to sleep)

    Not very helpful but I have the same issue, upped the mic monitoring settings to the highest they go and I still can't tell whether it's on, genuinely can't hear myself :(
