I can't hear anything when I'm in an Xbox Party on PC

This is a completely new issue to me, I was in an Xbox Party yesterday and had no issues at all; got online today to play with friends and I can't hear anyone. They can hear me and I can hear the game and all other sounds, just not the voice chat. I have
changed nothing since yesterday, and I haven't been able to fix it with any of the solutions I've found on similar topics online. I have done just about everything, short of reinstalling windows, and I'm not about to do that.

I've tried repairing the Game Bar app, didn't work.

I tried resetting it, nothing.

I tried reinstalling the app, and still nothing.

I've looked through 3 different threads with dozens of comments each and tried anything they said might fix my issue, and none of it worked.

I have the same issue, if I force quit the game bar and relaunch it then I invite someone who is a XBOX user it will work but if I add a PC user it does not work for them. Also, if I force quit the app and the xbox user invites me it does not work same
if the PC user invites me. The issue seems to be with the PC app.

I'm just posting what support told me and how I resolved the issue, if you found a better resolution please update the thread.

Connectivity and NAT Type has nothing to do with this issue, and the Game Bar app is not nearing end of life, it is current and regularly updated. Console Companion does not handle VOIP communication.

I got my issue resolved. Short story it sounds like the game bar is end of life. The new app is "Xbox Console Companion"

I had to disable IPv6 so my router did not use Teredo, after that was off if you go into "Start -> Settings" and search for "Xbox Networking" verify your NAT connection, should be Open.

Remove the game bar by opening powershell and running the following command:

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay | Remove-AppxPackage

then open the game store and search for "Xbox Console Companion" install and try party chat again.

Hey there, thanks for replying. I'm trying to use the Astro's as a mic on the pc for streaming. But also I'm still trying to be in Xbox live party's and such on the Xbox. But when I try to do that I can hear the music on my computer of course since i have
the base switched to PC but I can hear the people that is in my Xbox Live Party's But they can't hear me. I'm trying to see if there's something I could do to fix that.
