I can't have my original Gamertag on my main account with the gamepass

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently inquiring about switching your Gamer tag with another account, or transferring your subscription.

For as per the
Gamertag update FAQ, the reason why there are numbers on the end of your Gamer tag is due to someone else using the same tag. In order to prevent confusion, this is why those numbers were added.

Additionally,
any services you have on different Microsoft accounts cannot be combined nor transferred. The only other way to get these services on the account of your prefrence, would be to purchase them once more there.

Keep note that Gamertags are not recyclable, and that changing one does not guarantee being able to use on another account.

that's not good , I thought there would have been a way to do this. Everything apart from my xbox gamertag is linked to my main MS account and it's a bit of a pain having to switch to the old ms account just for the xbox when I have everything else on my
main ms account.

It's not really been a problem for me over the years but I've just been getting a windows 10 laptop and have to keep switching accounts and keep getting signed out when trying to play gamepass stuff on it as my ultimate gamepass is linked to my old ms account
and not the one I've got my windows or office registered with,

I don't want to lose almost 13 years of achievements or game purchases so don't want to change gamertag , my ultimate gamepass is valid till next year as well .

i have a similar problem too, i have2 gamertags but i only use one as the main one, i bought the lost and the damned add on to my main account when it came out it even shows saves under that gamertag however i tried to play the game and discovered it got
switched over to my unused account now i can't play the game under my main account how can this happen when i know i purchased the game originally under my main account yet it is no longer there under downlload history. but i found it under the other one how
do i transfer it back without having to rebuy the game.

I can't create a new account using the email I used for my original gamertag.

So I first made a Microsoft account to play Minecraft on my PlayStation 4 in 2018. After doing this the Microsoft account then asked for me to verify it but since the account was originally wrong the verification code was sent to the wrong email. Now whenever I try to log into a different email I’m told to log into the email that was originally connected but since it’s not my email I can not get into it to disconnect it. Since then I decided to make a new Microsoft email and connect it to a different PlayStation account. One being only for Minecraft and one being the main account I use. After trying to send an invite to my main account from the Minecraft one it show that a Microsoft account and gamertag is connected to my main account. So how would I be able to find and disconnect said Microsoft account from my main PlayStation account.

You wouldn't be able to with only the gamertag.

That being said even if you could unlink the old Microsoft account from your main PSN account, Sony will not let you link a different Microsoft account afterwards.

Sony will only let you relink the original Microsoft account that was first linked.
