    I cant get sound out of my PC speakers on Xbox One S. What can I do?


    Hey everyone,

    Just got myself a new AOC monitor from the G2 series. The monitor has built in speakers, but also has a jack for heaphones and a 3.5mm jack for external speakers(I guess). The built in speakers and the heaphones work just fine for my Xbox but every time I try to connect the PC external speakers out of the 3.5mm jack the sound only comes through the built in speakers on the monitor. Yet when I remove the jack and plug it into my laptop the speakers work just fine. Anybody know whats the matter here??

    My guess would be that that's an input and not a headphone jack. When you plug in it switches to that source

    Got one a week ago. My XBOX sound was going through my PC to my PC speakers, I had it jumper plugged into the adapter for the XBOX. This caused some distortion coming back from the PC sound card. Then plugged it into the PC headphone out and it worked
    fine.

    THEN got the DSS2 surround sound adapter and it uses the digitial out on the XBOX , even better and sound is straight from the Xbox and I can still have the PC with the subwoofer going too.

    i have a jvc surround sound dvd player and have my xbox one connected by hdmi and optical lead and i cant get no sound through my speakers either dont no if anyone nos anything about this

    Yes, you can use the Xbox One/S/X with a PC monitor with a hdmi connection. bear in mind though, if the monitor does not have speakers, then you will need to use a headset for sound.

    The Xbox 360's Kinect filters out sound eminating from the speakers. I'd imagine the XB1's would do the same.
