    I can't get my xbox to update is it because I don't have a USB?


    My xbox isn't updating it's has enough space on the hard drive but it still won't work. Im thinking about getting a usb flash drive for it will that help?

    I have Xbox live gold but I can't use it because it says I don't have it.

    I recently bought a 12 month prepaid xbox live gold card to renew my expired gold subscription. I entered the code on my account and a message appeared stating the code was redeemed successfully. Everytime I try to play online it says I need to purchase
    a gold subscription again. When I look at my memberships it says that my subscription is good until August 9th of 2018. I checked my recent order history as well and it shows that on August 9th of 2017 I used a redeemed code for Xbox Live Gold. I am also prompted
    to join Xbox Live Gold when I try and download the games with Gold and on my xbox homescreen it recommends that I get xbox live gold. Please help because I know I have an Xbox Live Gold subscription but I can not use it like I should be able to.

    No more Xbox live for me, can't update

    Replacing my console is not fair, I did not recieve a message saying I tampered with it, I just get an error code when I try to do the latest update. Because I can't finish the update, I can't get on Xbox Live. I read other peoples comments and talked with
    Microsoft and got the answer that I need to replace my console. I don't think that is fair when I have done nothing wrong, I don't have a reason to tamper with my console. If something wasn't working I would have it fixed professionally, I would never try
    it myself.

    Hi Corey, my name is Joel, I'm here to help you with any problems or questions you may have.

    Corey, Microsoft only has one method for account recovery, only by doing so can you regain access to your account, since Customer Service cannot provide any type of data in that regard.

    Go to https://account.microsoft.com/. Once there, they must click on the circle in the upper right corner of the screen. Then click login.

    If as a user you do not have any of the recovery options connected to your account, you should click on the selection that says "I do not have any of these". When you click on that link, they will be sent to a Microsoft form. You must complete it, including all pertinent information, and Microsoft will contact you and try to help them recover to regain access to your account.

    If the user has forgotten their login information, they should go to login. Choose your login options. This will ask you to enter an alternate email address associated with the account or a phone number.

    If the user does not have another linked account to help provide account access, it is recommended to create another account. Once they create the account, they must use the new account to log in and select "forgotten password". By choosing the option "I forgot my password", you will be sent the link to the form mentioned above. completed the form Microsoft will contact you.

    Don't get excited though because it didn't help me at all. I still can't get the update to work and I tried with a USB, a CD, cleared my cache (as instructed), blah, blah, blah. I guess they don't want us to buy anything anymore or play our games :( Good
