I cant get digital 360 games

Whenever I try to buy or install a 360 game (DIGITALLY) It says my console

Cannot purchase it only lets me get gamepass 360 games

Best to try to purchase the 360 game from another device and make sure you have correct credit card information when you do so. Also there might be some security measures put in place if its a childs account and then you will have to go through parental
permissions.

Are you trying to purchase it from a different region? games on xbox 360 are region locked

Please note that you can not use you account balance to buy 360 games from Xbox One, and must use a credit/debit card.

I had the exact same problem during the last few months of 2018, so I contacted Xbox support with the issue and they gave the same standard/logical answers most people would. The only one that seemed applicable was that I had a debit card linked instead
of a credit card. However a couple of days after this discussion with them I tried to download a 360 game to my xbox one and it worked, so all was well with the world. But then, plot twist! I tried again this morning to download Farcry 2 and the same issue
has arisen. It just won't download the xbox 360 title.

But everything is correct and set up to be able to download with my xbox and xbox account. So is it specific games or an issue from microsoft's side?
