I can't finish downloading Black Ops II. It either gives me error "80158113" or ...

I can't download Black Ops II. Just entered the code today. 132GB free space on HDD. Speed test shows 51+Mbps down, 5+Mbps up.

I even bypassed my router,. I deleted cache, deleted incomplete download. Still no download. It either gives me error "80158113" or just says "Download stopped". It will make it to maybe 3 or 4%, then "Cannot Download".

I noticed the XBOX.COM site is very strange last couple of days, some links error 404, etc. I can't view my games list with the PC, only on my Xbox 360.

Anyone else notice any problems?

I previously installed from disc, so I deleted that install first. Should I delete ALL of the Black OPS II stuf from my HDD, like my game saves etc?

Is this a Microsoft problem or Call of Duty Game Server Problem?

Okay so i just bought call of duty black ops 2, for some reason it says it "cant download" I have over 300GB avaliable and have searched everywhere but cant find out why, i also get this error code when going into account managment that says "Status code:
8C150009" I tried the xboxs error code search there was nothing there aswell as i cant find anything on youtube, please help!

Ok question does your account region reflect your actual region? Excluding us foreign bases

Us bases use the hosr countries isps which will not guve an us ip

Blackops has regions locks attached to it due to certain laws concerning its content

After 2 hours on chat with support, no answers. BUT, I finally just kept trying and discovered I could MANUALLY resume the download by trying again and again. Just DO NOT delte partial download, do NOT clear cache. 2 days later I have the game installed.
When it fail, back out to the dashboard and go to "Download History" under SYSTEM, ACCOUNT. Then Download again. When it moves 1 or 2 percent, it will say "Can't Download COD: Black Ops II". Push "A" then you may have to back out and you will see you are still
in DOWNLOAD HISTORY. Just click it and download again. My download when in 2% or 3% increments, sometimes more. When I fianally made it to about 90% it downloaded faster. Today I got it to 100% and ran it. Then I downloaded Nuketown map again. Started a new
campaign, looks good. SLOW Microsoft servers with Time-out issues I guess. Solved.

Microsoft seems to have some slow servers with time-out issues! Not all games do it. I download a different free game last night in about 5 minutes, it was about 5GB large. I ended up finishing my Black Ops II download the next day. Here is how you do it:

MANUAL RESUMED DOWNLOAD:

DO NOT delete cache, DO NOT delete the partial download. Keep trying. Go to SYSTEM, ACCOUNT, DOWNLOAD HISTORY.

Download it again.

I had to go in 2% or 3% increments, sometimes more. It took several hours of MANUALLY resuming the download.

Every time it says "Can't Download COD: Black Ops II", just back out and download again.

After about 75 tries you will have it downloaded.

I ran it and started a new campaign after downloading the Nuketown map again. When I get Gold again, I will play online again! ~~

Timeout issue happens only when you background download things

If you keep the download screen up and not browse andyou shouldnt have an issue

 

I have the same problem whit GTA V...

Argh!!!

 

Same issue for me with Saints Row the Third. It will pop up can't download anywhere from the 20 second to 3 minute mark. Super frustrating. I'll try your fix before contacting support. Thanks.

 

Went to chat with this same issue last night, they went through all of the troubleshooting steps and it still didn't work. I tried your method, emfi2r, before reading this thread and that was the only way I could get any progress. Now, the next morning after
buying CoD: BO2, even this method is not working. It doesn't even get to 1% before stopping.

 

I had the same issue, dehallen. Just keep trying, pop open a soda, watch TV, read a book It requires patience! Remember, it took me almost 2 days to download.

The first few percents are horrible, but once you make it past the first few percents, it's seems to slowly work better. The annoying thing is the up-down progress when it goes from 5% to 0%, back up to 5%, back to zero, over and over again!

The time-out issues I am talking about,is when communications are interupted either by line-static, issues between different networks in the internet (we know we are not on a dedicated backbone line straight to Microsoft), and even issues when maybe the
servers are running diagnostics or virus scans, hardware failure or compromise (heat buildup if a fan fails, insects, a loose or dirty cable [even clean-rooms can get humidity] etc), or a rat chewed on something. Even bad weather can affect communications.

Thanks man, just bought Red Dead Redemption and it refused to download. Using the Download History page and clicking it over and over is working. Slow going, but it's getting there.

Anyone who is getting the "Can't download" message should give this solution a try.
