I can't edit xbox family settings even though I am the only one in the family.

I want to enable multiplayer but I can because I am not the family organizer, so I go and check who is, I log in with my Microsoft account I am the one person in this family but anytime I try to use the website or app it says it needs to use Parent/Guardian account, my Xbox account and my Microsoft account are under the same email, so what the **** is going on?

Thanks for the reply regarding the change of name on Xbox. Unfortunately the solution you provide doesn't work. I am the main account holder on the Xbox, so I am able to edit my name as the adult, however when I go in to the family setting to edit my Daughters
name, there is not a option for this. This should be a simple task, but its not. Can't even contact Microsoft about this issue because I can't even find an email address to send them this query. How ridiculous is that.

Thanks for the reply. I tried the same earlier, but after I was here, am able to see only my xbox Gamer profile, am not able to see my kids profile even though I have added my kid as one of my family member. In general family member page my kids name is visible. But not in the Profile > Privacy Settings.

I can send you a screenshot if needed.....!

Were you the one who added this account? As the Family Organizer, you would need to remove the consent first, and then remove it from your family group.

Please, follow these steps to try it:

Go to family.microsoft.com.

Sign in with your Microsoft account, then, to remove a member, scroll down and select Manage my child's profile info, find their name, select Remove consent for this child's account, and confirm.

Go back to your family's page, and under the member's name, select More options > Remove from family group, and confirm.

In case it does not work, and you believe your account has been compromised, please, use this website to get help securing your account.
