    I can’t edit my profile info. It’s blocked from changing it and I need to change my country


    When I click on edit profile information all the boxed are dark grey and uneditable. I need to change this from United States to United Kingdom

    My Microsoft account won’t link with my Xbox because I’m Xbox is United Kingdom but my Microsoft account is United States

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

    The profile region is set by the Microsoft account. So, if your Microsoft account is set to the United Kingdom, you should be able to change this via the Microsoft account overview page here: Microsoft account | Your profile

    Once you have signed in, you should see an option where you can change your region of your profile. You can find out more on how to do this by this Xbox support article here: Update your Microsoft account if you’re moving to a new country or region | Xbox Support

    Redeeming code wrong region

    I went to account.microsoft.com, clicked on "Your info", under Profile info it says my Country or region is Denmark. Is there somewhere else I need to change my region?

    Currently there is no way to change your account region to the US. You would have to create a new account with the correct information.

    You can't really completely cancel an account. You can delete it from your storage device, but it will remain on Micrososft's servers.
