I can't download games with gold X Box One games in the Microsoft store page

Hi, as the subject says, I want to download X Box One games from the games with gold program. I don't own an X Box One, but I know you can download them online so it can be considered as "purchased" into the account. I normally do this in the past, but
now, the only options I see is "install on my device" (which I don't have an X Box One) and "buy as a gift". How can I download the games online?

I have a gold membership yearly, but it's redeemed through a gift card.

I do attempt to "download" the game on my X Box 360 console, but that has been unreliable for the longest time now. Every time I click download, it would state that I own the game; however, when I check the next time I turn on the 360, it would still say
"get for X Box One -free" meaning that it's not purchased into my account. Going online would confirm I don't have it in my account.

Was there a change that I need to own an X Box One?

I want to send this message to Microsoft support, but navigating through customer support was like a maze and I was lead here instead.

Sea of Thieves won't Connect

I'm using an X-Box One. I purchased a copy of Sea of Thieves through the microsoft store, and downloaded it on the X-Box. I'm able to launch it, but when is starts to connect, it claims I don't have an X-Box Live Gold Membership, which I do. It won't work,
and I have no idea what to do.

 

X Box 360 games on X Box 1

I have Gold and I have downloaded a couple of X Box 360 games. My X Box 1 Control will not work with the X Box 360 games. Is there a way for this to work?

 

The best way for you to get the Xbox One game would be from the games with gold section on Xbox.com Games with Gold | Xbox Live
select the games you want to download, then it will take you to the microsoft store page, make sure you are logged in with your gold account, and you will then be able to get the game. If you have the option to install on my devices, then you already have
the game.

please be aware that you are not able to download XBOX ONE games to your XBOX 360.

Some 360 titles has backward compatibility, which means you can play them on your XBOX ONE, but that does not work the other way.

XBOX ONE games can only be played on XBOX ONE consoles.

However, all your claimed XBOX 360 games should be able to download to your 360.

 

If you're still stuck I suggest you seek the help of a friend who owns an Xbox One console.

 

Yes, I've gone to the website to download X Box One games to my library, but I cannot.

To clarify again, I don't have an X Box One console so I cannot install it. The message will say I don't have the required device.

I do have a one year gold membership, pre-paid card.

In the past, games with gold can allow me to add an X Box One game to my library even without an X Box One console. If I purchase an X Box One console, my free games with gold games will be in the library.

Now there is no option online to add the X Box One game to add to the account unless I own a X Box One console.

Hello Hero, thank you for bringing this question to our attention.

1. If you buy an Xbox 360 game that was revamped and tailor for the Xbox one, then that may not be available on the Xbox 360 due to Platform change/configuration.

2. Games will appear on the Xbox app or library showing all purchased item's, but have platform restrictions.

For Example:

A. Xbox 360 games can be made for Xbox 360 only or as
Backwards compatible/360 games for Xbox one (see list)

B. Xbox one games can be strictly made only for Xbox one

C. Xbox
Play anywhere could be made for Xbox one and PC

3. Please check out
View your Xbox Live download history on your computer or Xbox 360 console to see your downloadable items on the Xbox 360 (look for Purchased items and download history and see if it says download again)

As far as I understand the Xbox play anywhere titles can be claimed everywhere and for some time now the games for Xbox One that you claim with Gold will no longer belong to you forever as you will need to keep a valid subscription to Gold to be able to
play them. When you claim a Game from the Xbox it will automatically try to install it on the console no matter what.

 

I hope you can resolve this seems weird but have you tried removing the account on the xbox and sign back to see if it lets you?
