I can't connect to xbox live on my xbox one using phone's hotspot.

I just connect to xbox live with the mobile hotspot to watch Netflix and YouTube. I've been doing that for a year. Then right after the smartphone update Xbox won't connect to the phones hotspot.

I tried the hard reset and turning off the hotspot and back on again but the Xbox still can't connect to the network.

My old isp was 'Very mobile'. A little slow where I live, but my Xbox worked just fine. Now I changed to 'Tim'. This one is much faster than very mobile, but now the console gives me MTU error.

My pc connects to the hotspot without any problem, the troubles are with the xbox360.

I totally understand that,

On Xbox One you need certain Parts to be open and forwarding, if your unable to access the settings on then you'll be unable to sign in, for more information on Xbox One Ports >>>

A portable network routers do work if you have so much data and connection speeds and you can even use Eithernet Cables to them, but they ain't recommended as they haven't got stable connections,

The Xbox One could crash the hotspot when it's updating what can use 3/5GB on the update plus being online uses upto 3GB a day, if the hotspot isn't very quick the hotspot will fail or the update will fail,

But as long as the connections are good enough to handle the high demand and has the ports open and forwarding with an open NAT Type then your Xbox One will connect to your phones Hotspot BUT I can't guarantee that you will be able to stay signed in and
be able to do part chats without lagging out and being signed out of Xbox live, you might have good days and bad days but we can't guarantee anything SORRY my friend
