    im trying to update my xbox through a cd with the newest update on it but it just says mixed media disk

    yes, my console go in a loop it says i need an update to connect to xbox live,if i agree it after a sec of downloading it shows an error page that says i need to connect to xbox live to download the update. when i test my connection to xbox live it says
    it fails and says i need to download the update to connect to xbox live, the loop continues also it freezes alot in this process. ive tried manual updatre bu it only says mixed media disc and no download prompt comes up. any suggestions????

    Halo 4 mandatory update won't complete download

    No, sorry. If your brother has a console, he will need to connect it to the net and download the update himself.

    Sorry to hear it. Please try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down. While it is off, power cycle your modem/router by unplugging for 5 seconds.

    Also, if you have a wireless connection try using an ethernet cable for the duration of the install

    I can't even sign into xbox live on hughes net...When I turn my console on, it says that an update is required to sign in to xbox live, but it's currently unavailable...I installed the update via flash drive after downloading it on my computer, so I know

    Does xbox one require internet connection??

    you need to be connected to the net for the 1st initial console update. after that if you choose you can set console to stay offline. so after update no you dont need the internet
