I can't configure my Transcend HDD on my Xbox 360 and it shows an error. What should I do?

Hey Boaz,

the 360 only allows 32Gb external devices if they are not the official MS HDDs.

This might cause the conflict if yours is much bigger (what I guess). If it's bigger than 350 Gb the 360 can't handle it, not even the 32 Gb.

I can't configure it because it is not showing up in the list of storage devices along with the original Xbox HDD and cloud storage.

I am having trouble transferring my content from my old HDD to my new Xbox slim. I just got a new xbox 360 slim, and I plugged the transfer cable in first, then I plugged it into the HDD, and I got no message popping up that should say, (data transfer detected).
I went to setting and then memory, and the HDD is says USB and it gives me two options, configure and customize????

Nowadays, no HDDs on shelves (are you talking about external or xbox 360 internal?) Besides, I bought a 16GB Sandisk Cruzer Blade and everytime I power on, all the data wiped out for some unknown reason. So just used a Transcend 8GB.
