I can't change the language of Fable 2 in my XCloud on PC GamePass from french to english...

Concerning what you told me:

• Yes, I'm trying to change the language of FABLE 2, but is not showing in spanish as you stated, the game is showing in FRENCH (I live in France). I'm trying to put the game in spanish or english as my french is not that good.
  

About the trouble shooting:

1. As stated in my question: My display and preferred language is in english and my regional format is in spanish.
   
   
   
   
   
2. The games on XBOX Cloud are shown in spanish and, if there's no spanish option, they are shown in english. FABLE 2 is the only game (that I have tried) that runs in french with no option to change it in-game (Fable 1 which is also an XCloud game gave me the option to play it in spanish right away).
   
3. The game FABLE 2 doesn't have an installation folder as it is a Cloud Gaming Game (Stream). I run it in my PC and my Android phone both of them in English (but the game is shown in french).
   

About the suggested trouble shooting:

1. My Windows PC and XBOX App was updated.
   
2. I did restart my device.
   
3. I wasn't running an antivirus, VPN or PC optimizer.
   
4. I removed the Spanish (Peru) language and region format to US English. I restarted the computer and the game was still in french.
   
5. I restarted the computer and nothing happened.
   
6. I searched for the XBOX App, looked for Fable 2 and the game still launched in french.
   
7. The game says it has support for 13 language but it doesn't give me the option to choose the language the game is launched.
   

Note

I found a partial solution to this problem which was to use a VPN. When I used a VPN and set my region to US (or anywhere outside of France), the game changed to english and gives me the option to change language (it seems the english version of the game is multilanguage but the french version is not). Nonetheless, this solution stopped working after a day. I think Microsoft detected the VPN and changed the game back to french. Now, even when I tried to use a VPN the game always starts in french (I already erased the caché and cookies multiple times).

Yes I forgot they do sometimes patch the games

Or wait for a remastered pc copy which is unlikely

Fable 4 is due out soon and fable 1 was remade

what you are playing is the original 360 copy not a remastered

You will have this issue with xcloud and xbox one as long as you are going to play backwards compatible titles

Xcloud xbox one titles are current gen and are NOT geo restricted

Xbox 360 games have been georestricted from xbox original days and only a few titles of those are not region locked

Xcloud is geo restricted too ao if you goto England you can use your xgu but.Not xbox 360 till you change the account region

Xbox 360 goes by your physical location and your account region which can only be changed every 90days

Does that mean I will never be able to play Fable 2 in my own language unless I, literally, move somewhere outside France?

Let us isolate the issue first, we will ask few questions and kindly provide details. Also, we will provide suggested troubleshooting below.

• May we know what is the display and preferred language and regional formats of your Microsoft account? Please click this link and sign in with your account - Microsoft account | Your profile. Is it set to Spanish or English or both?
  
• Does the games on Xbox Cloud gaming shows in Spanish? Or just the game Forza 2?
  
• If the Forza 2 is Cloud gaming and install on PC, may we ask what device (sample: Android/iOS)you usually play it with? Is the device in Spanish language?
  

Suggested troubleshooting:

1. Keep Windows PC, Xbox apps updated.
   
2. Restart device.
   
3. Disable or turn off any antivirus, antimalware, VPN or PC optimizer.
   
4. On PC, try to remove the Spanish (Peru) language and region format to English. Make sure your English is the only language for your PC.
   
5. Repeat 2 and 3.
   
6. Launch Xbox app and search Fable 2. If the same issue, you may go back to the first bullet question and clear all Spanish language.
   
7. If same happens this might be related to the language of your Xbox Cloud preference or device for Cloud gaming. You may try to remove the installed packaged for Spanish.
   
8. Repeat 2 and 3.
   
9. Launch Xbox and check language for the game.
