Wait up to 24 hours to make sure the changes will be applied.

Hi during setting up the Xbox one for my son I entered my date of birth instead of his by mistake. Can I change this? If so I don't know how to thanks.

Also what privact settings should i have on there to protect my son whilst gaming online?

As far as I'm aware you can't change the date of birth for an Xbox account. However, you can change the privacy settings of the account. you can do this by going into settings, account and then selecting privacy and online followed by Xbox live privacy. these
settings can be changed to allow messages, online play etc.

Just remember, I can't change the privacy settings on the console itself. I play on PC. However I am currently playing on the Minecraft Bedrock edition, which asks me to change my privacy settings by going to: https://aka.ms/accountsettings
