    I can’t change my privacy settings


    Im trying to buy the realms thing on nintendo switch but it says I have to change my privacy settings, I don’t have a parent account and I’m not able to change my settings , I’ve tried using multiple Microsoft links but none of them have helped me.

    Why can’t I change my privacy settings?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    This means that the system detects that your account is a child account.

    If the system detects that your account is a child account you will be redirected to a support site and if not you will be able to change it successfully.

    If you were redirected to a support page, please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/family and check if there is an organizer account linked to your account then ask the organizer account to sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings to manage your account settings.

    Did you try to sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/family/ ?

    Can you send me a screenshot of your account on the webpage above showing that you're not on a Family Group?

    Because if you're not on a Family Group, you should be able to change your privacy settings and shouldn't receive the "why can’t I change my privacy settings?" message.
