    I can't buy anything for the money I have topped up


    Why, despite the fact that I entered the code through which I topped up my Microsoft account, I can not buy anything for it? In the sense I have no option to pay with the money I have topped up. I can
    only choose Credit / Debit Card, PayPal and mobile phone.

    Yes since it is a subscription that has to be payed monthly you will have to have an billing address set up and a debit card so in case your money on your account runs out the subscription will be payed you can cance it after the first payment but
    you still need a credit or debit card or paypal

    No, I haven't set it up. Is that necessary? And I don't know anything about outstanding accounts.
