I can't add friends

Discus and support I can't add friends in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; I am trying to play Minecraft with friends but there are multiple problems with that. people can follow me but I cant friend them back , heck I can't...     I can't add friends


    I am trying to play Minecraft with friends but there are multiple problems with that. people can follow me but I cant friend them back , heck I can't even join a server on Minecraft because it says the settings on my Microsoft account settings won't let me, but whenever I got to the settings it just brings me to the family and online safety page , and when I click on the button labeled privacy and online safety it brings me back to the family and online safety page, same happens if I click on my gamer tag then Xbox settings, it takes me to the family and online safety page. please help.

    When I tried doing it through the website it said the same thing, same thing with the app. So I tried the whole remove account/power cycle thing and the same thing is happening still.

    Are you seeing the same issue on the console, app, and
    website?

    Let's try
    removing your profile     from the console and then
    power cycle     the console to be sure everything is good.

    Post back and let us know how that goes!

    In your case, you need first to confirm that your account is not a child's account, that needs a parent to be managing the settings. If it has a date birth that is under 18 years old, you will first need to be added to a Microsoft family with an adult account that will be able to change your settings for you.

    Try also to change browsers and devices if all the above information is set up correctly.
