I can't add back my Dell Preferred Account as a payment method

Recently, I have been having trouble making purchases with my DFS through the Microsoft Store, I have contacted support several times, via chat and calling, the first person I talked to in chat said it wasn't being recognized as an authorized payment method,
and asked if I could remove the DFS and add it back. I didn't want to do so, because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get it back. He said it was no problem and sent my inquiry to the higher tiers. He said I would get an email about it when they would get
back to me, and that was almost a week ago.

SO, I went for it and I removed the DFS from my payment methods, and lo and behold, I can't add it back. I tried contacting someone via chat last night, but they said that their resources are limited and suggested I contact the call team. This morning, well
within the scheduled hours, I go to set up a call back, but the option is unavailable, I call them, and I get a message telling me to set up a callback. I contact ANOTHER person via chat, and they give me the number to microsoft support. So I call THAT number,
and I get this woman who doesn't speak very good english, and when I try to explain the issue to her, she sets the phone down for like two minutes and then hangs up. Irritated, I call again, I go through all the question asking what my issue is, and then
the call tells me to go to support.microsoft.com and hangs up. CAN NO ONE HELP ME WITH THIS? All I want is to have my Dell Preferred Account added back as a valid payment method on my Microsoft account.

Unfortunately right now, DFS is not a preferred payment option for Microsoft Store purchases. It's not supported and even if you did see it as an option, the payment would not go through. I'm sorry but I hope you find another payment solution with the Store.

DFS is not supported online nor has it been for at least a year. Why it is still an option for consumer purchases doesn't make any sense.

It has also been like that for at least a year, I was running into the exact same problem. I also got everything but a clear "DFS is not supported online" after spending the better part of a day calling and chatting with different supports folks. I ended
up driving four hours to a physical store location to purchase my Surface Book using my DFS account.

I have been able to use my Dell account for over a year on my Xbox with no issue until a month ago so how has it been for "over a year" 🤔 sounds very strange and Microsoft/Dell should make this known, especially if the new Xbox is supposed to be able to
be purchased again through a Dell preferred account, they dropped the ball on this one sad to say.

[Mod Removed]! I was told by Dell that I could use my DFS account to buy a replacement device via Microsoft.com. And at least a year? I bought this Surface in October 2019 with my Dell Account all online. Guess I'll have to wait until
Microsoft stores open back up to replace the device then?
