I can't access my Xbox account's privacy and online settings

I can't access my xbox account's settings. every time I try to access them, it shows me to this page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4026796/microsoft-account-change-childs-xbox-privacy-online-safety-settings

I'm not a part of any family group and have never been, so why does this show up, and why can't i access my own settings?

Hi! I have had this issue before, By any chance is your account marked as a child(under 18)? When i ran into this issue i had to have a parent account set up for them to access the settings as child accounts can not access their own settings

Hi as mentioned this means you're account is underage. Once an age is set it's permanent. While you can change the age anytime afterwards the system won't recognize it as a new age. This is to prevent kids from changing their ages to bypass things.

You will need a parent or someone older then you to make a family account and adjust the settings for you in the family settings.

nope I cant access the privacy setting online safety on the xbox. on the web, i dont see the child or adult for privacy. why is my account online status unknown on the xbox?

If your account is a child account you can't access the setting because only an Adult account has the ability to customize a profile's privacy and online safety settings.
