    I cannot upgrade my gold to ultimate?


    When i try to upgrade it, it says "it looks like something went wrong, but we can help" and then it tells me to contact Xbox support and they'll "get me back to gaming"

    I even bought a 15$ ultimate card because i thought maybe the 1$ deal was the issue but its apparently not

    How to Downgrade from Ultimate to Core at Original Price

    when you upgraded it converted your remaining gold/core time into gamepass ultimate. it cannot be downgraded.

    Prepaid Gold membership after upgrade to Ultimate

    No. Once your gold is upgraded, it cannot be reverted back. The gold is essentially cancelled when you upgrade so if you were to cancel Ultimate you would cancel everything. If you decide you don't want Ultimate, it would be best to turn off auto-renewal.
    That way you can stil use gold and then once Ultimate actually runs out you can purchase just a regular gold subscription.

    You can upgrade your Gold to Ultimate in 1:1 when you have no Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. But if you have Ultimate already, you cannot convert in 1:1. Go to Xbox Game Pass

    Since you upgraded to Ultimate, your gold was cancelled and upgraded to Ultimate as well. Cancelling Ultimate also cancels your gold.
