I cannot sign in to the Xbox.com website with my Microsoft account.

Hello,

I have a Microsoft account that I would like to link to my Epic Games account, in order to play on Xbox. However, when I try to sign in to the Xbox website with the same Microsoft Account, even when I have chosen to “stay signed in”, I see the Xbox logo with the buffer wheel spinning around it for about five seconds, and I am sent back to the Xbox.com page without being signed in—the exact same page as before.

I have seen online that I need an Xbox account to link with my Microsoft account so that I can link to Epic Games, but the first step of this process is signing in the the Xbox website, which I cannot do.

I have already tried using an iPad, my phone, and a Windows desktop, and cleared cache and cookies on both mobile devices, but I get no different result.

How can I sign in to the Xbox website when pressing the “sign in” button and entering my credentials leads me to the page I started at, without signing me in?

(I also have signed in with this account on my Xbox series S, but when I go to the Epic Games website to try to link the two, it gives me an error that means I tried to link a Microsoft account, and not an Xbox account, to my Epic Games profile)

Hello Lincoln_FCTN, If your Microsoft account has already been linked to an Epic Games account, you will not be able to link it to another one.

Have you tried to log in on the Epic Games website and check the connections if you already have an email linked to it, if you haven't tried click on the link below.

If you are using your Microsoft account to log into Xbox.com, please try signing into Account.Microsoft.com. If you sign into any Microsoft account, that should follow you to the Xbox.com website as well.

Cannot sign in to my account to play this game for the past 3 days.

I can however sign into Xbox.com without any issues.

I had the problem earlier and I signed out of xbox.com on the website then signed back in and it then validated my Gold account and worked like it should. Good Luck!

Hi Mister Fizzle, I'm having the exact problem as CrunchinJelly. These problems are specific to purchasing on Xbox.com, not on the console.

When trying to purchase on xbox.com, the website wants add a credit card. The website does not recognize the amount already converted on our account. I have $23.00 on my account, but the website does not recognize any money to use to make purchases. So I
cannot buy a $3.74 game through XBOX.COM. Seems purchasing is now broken on the website using existing credit.

I cannot sign in to the Xbox.com website with my Microsoft account.
