I cannot register my Xbox 360. Serial number is not recognised

I tried adding my Xbox 360 to my Microsoft account to see if I could get a replacement HDD. When I entered my serial number I was told it was not recognised. I checked multiple times to ensure the number I was providing was the serial number on the back of my console. What should i do?

The Xbox 360 is no longer supported by Microsoft. That will be why the serial number is not recognised. There is nothing you can do, as Microsoft no longer repair or replace them if something goes wrong with the console.

I had the same response from Microsoft. They opened a case for me, but then closed it 3 weeks later without fixing the issue

false info given out been in contact with them as third party repair tech they said something is wrong with there systems as all consoles should be reconised as was till about may of 2021 they have assured me they are trying to fix this issue

Try serial number on system info in setting.

This doesn’t work the controller was never registered on my account as the serial number wasn’t recognised I had to fill out a form to complete the repair request
