Log out of all the places on your PC where you have your Microsoft account open and then start the launcher again.

Try removing your account from the launcher and re-add it again, please.

Hello, I just checked and I was not in a family group.

Fortunately, I got it to work finally!

What I did was that I changed my account settings back to "blocked", logged out of my Microsoft account, logged out of my xbox app, and deleted the Minecraft launcher. Then I went on a different browser (was using opera gx, so I tried google chrome) and relogged into my account and changed the settings back to "allow". And to my surprise, I can now finally play Minecraft multiplayer!
I have no idea what did the trick, but in the end it worked. No idea if this information was even useful, but I am so excited thought I'd share it.

I just did what you asked me and relaunched the game, and still it says that I need to "check my Microsoft account settings".
I have even relogged into my xbox app. It still does not seem to be functioning.
