I cannot play games downloaded onto my new seagate game drive

You cannot switch hard drives between consoles as they are integrated into the console housing. But yes, you are able to carry over the game to your new console. What you can do is re-download the game onto your new console, games are tied to the account
that purchased it so simply log in to your account on the new console and you can download Fifa 18! Alternatively you can use a compatible external hard drive, move the game to the drive, then connect that drive to your new console to play the game.

As already replied too, yes. But you will need to download them onto your new console once you set up the same account on the new one. I purchased an external hard drive before I got my new one. Moved my games onto that. Plugged it permanently into
my new xbox and play games directly from that.

With my Seagate 4TB, Can I moved the games to from my Uncle's Internal Hard Drive to my Seagate 4TB External Hard Drive & still play them without purchasing?

Sorry but we cannot say if that type of external drive would be compatible with the console. However, if it is a Seagate drive I would recommend staying away as Seagate does not play well with Xbox.

What I did was move all my games from the xbox internal hard drive onto the external which is pretty easy to do.Having games on the external hard drive makes load times a bit faster.

All I have on the internal drive is apps & captures now.

I then set it so all games & updates download onto my external drive.,you can do all this in Settings/system/storage.

You games wont be on both hard drives.

If your external HD breaks then yeah,you would need to re download everything but as long as you get a good quality hard drive this shouldn't be an issue.

Just remember the hard drive needs to be USB 3:0 & at least 256mb (I think).

I got a 2TB Seagate & that does me just fine but I don't have games installed that I have no intention on playing for a long time.
