I Cannot install any gemes to my PC with gamespass

I don't have any Windows 10 installation media, I upgraded form Windows 7 back when it was free.

A. Create a new local administrator user in your PC and try from there

B. Create a new NTFS partition in your PC and select it as where new content is saved via Windows settings > system > Storage > where new content is saved > under apps select the new drive

C. If none of the above works, the next step will be perform a custom installation for your windows system (you can recover personal files later, but you may need to reinstall some apps and games)

Please answer the following questions to assist you properly:

May I know if your D: drive is already formatted as NTFS?
Double check this via file explorer > my computer > right click on the driver > properties
Is this the first time that you try to download games or you was able to do it in the past?
Are you on windows 10 or 11?
And, tell me briefly what troubleshooting steps you have done so far to fix this

Can you try reverting those changes? (Set your PC region to UK etc) and after that try again.

If the issue persists, try this. All together:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.

Now, sign out from your account on both Xbox app and Microsoft Store and do this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Finally do this:

Step 1: Open the Run window by pressing Windows + R key.

Step 2: Input WSReset.exe in the Run window and click OK.

Step 3: Then a command prompt window will appear. After a few seconds, Windows Store will open.

Sign in again on both Microsoft store and Xbox app with your account and check

If that doesn't work Reinstall Gaming Services using powershell command

Press Windows key + X and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).

Type or copy / past the following command and press Enter:

Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers

Restart the PC and Open the Xbox application.



A blue notification with the following message is going to appear at the bottom:

"This app needs an extra component. Gaming Services is needed for playing some games. Administrator approval required. Install"

Select Install to reinstall Gaming Services, once installed check again
