    I cannot get Starfield to Launch


    Hi all,

    I purchased the premium edition and downloaded on my PC though the Xbox app. When I click on "Play" the loading screen comes up and within 8 seconds I get the message "The game has crashed. Error code: (0x1)."



    I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

    Tried starting through the MS Store.

    Tried disabling services.

    Ensured all Xbox services are running.

    Ensured all drivers are up to date.

    Here are a bunch of specs. Really thought I had a good enough machine. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

    I just wanted to add that I had the same problem. Using Intel Arc A730M Graphics. But after updating the driver to version 31.0.101.4887 and after Bethesda appears to have done some updates as well, the game is now running stable.

    Just wanted to post that I fixed the issue - I was using a beta build of Windows and it seems like that was affecting it. I changed my build to Canary build and it fixed my issue. Hopefully, this can help someone out.

    I am having this same exact error as well. I wish they would fix it, this is a service I am paying for and it's not working at all. I've also tried everything you have in your OP.
