I cannot change the setting "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites"

Discus and support I cannot change the setting "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites" in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; I am unable to communicate or hear other players in Sea of Thieves.     I cannot change the setting "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites"


    I am unable to communicate or hear other players in Sea of Thieves. I eventually found out that this was likely due to my privacy settings in my Xbox account. I went to the Privacy & online safety settings to change the setting "Others can communicate with
    voice, text, or invites" but I could not find it. It seems that my account can not see the majority of the settings to change my communications. I have tried changing my account to a child account and linking my other account to an adult but I am unable to
    see the settings still. The picture below shows what I can see. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

    If it's this option.. it's set to friends already, not blocked

    Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites
    Decide who to communicate with on Xbox Live using voice and text and also who sends you invitations to parties or clubs

    This setting is about who you want to communicate with. To block or allow communications on a console, check the online safety settings in the other tabs.

    These settings may need to be set to "allow" or "everyone"

    * You can see and upload community creations

    * You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text

    * Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites

    * You can play with people outside of Xbox Live

    * You can create and join clubs

    * You can join multiplayer games

    Make sure to hit “submit” when you made any changes.

    Thank you. Can you please go to the privacy tab as well and make sure that these are "allow" or set to "everyone" as well:

    You can see and upload community creations

    You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text

    You can simply sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings and from there make sure that these settings are set to “allow” or “everyone”:

    * You can see and upload community creations
    * You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text
    * Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites
    * You can play with people outside of Xbox Live
    * You can create and join clubs
    * You can join multiplayer games

    Make sure to hit “submit” when you made any changes.
