    I cannot change my privacy settings on my account


    When I try to Allow the option for me to Broadcast Gameplay, after I press submit, it loads for a little bit then says an "unexpected error occurred, please try again later."

    Please get back to me as soon as possible so I can start to stream my games

    How to change Xbox LIVE online safety and privacy settings

    You are allowed change the online safety and privacy settings for any profile on your console.


    How to change your safety and privacy settings

    Steps to follow:

    • First, you have to go to the My Account page
    • You need to sing in to your Xbox LIVE account clicking Sing In at the upper-right corner of the page.
    • Go to Settings and Preferences and select Privacy and Online Settings.
    • Now change the settings.

    How to change your child’s safety and privacy settings

    Steps to follow:

    • First, you have to go to the My Account page
    • You need to sing in to your Xbox LIVE account clicking Sing In at the upper-right corner of the page.
    • Proceed to Settings and Privacy and press Child.

      Note: You’ll be asked for the parental Microsoft account in order to make changes to the child account’s safety settings.
    • Now change the settings.

    If you are having problems with Broadcasting and it loads that error, try a powercycle following the steps here https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console


    If that doesn't help, I'd try what we call a soft reset keeping your games and apps.

    Reset the console following these steps on
    How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One     and remember to select
    Keep my games and apps

    Give those steps a shot and let us know how that affects the issue.

    Xbox account privacy settings

    For some reason i cannot change my privacy settings on my main account. I have checked my family settings and it says i am not part of a family to my knowledge.
