I cannot buy in-game purchases specifically in Fortnite.

So, I was going to get some V-Bucks today, and all of the sudden, when I clicked buy nothing happened, and my money didn't get taken.

I don't exactly know if this is an error or I'm banned from buying.

More of an explanation, I was going to buy V-Bucks, when I pressed X, a screen popped up to buy it. When I clicked the buy button absolutely nothing happened and the screen closed, no V-Bucks earned.

Is this an error on Epic Games' side or Microsoft's side?

Hi Fawn,

Thanks for keeping us updated. If you are able to make purchases such as subscriptions off the Microsoft store. Then this would be on the Epic games side, as you are not able to buy in game currency. Reason being, is you are in game when trying to buy this.
You will need to contact epic games. Are you able to buy in game currency on other games?

Re-install game on Xbox One.

Give this a try and let us know the results.
