    I cannot access my Minecraft account since the email it is attached to has an issue. My father originally bought Minecraft for me back in 2015 and it has been on his email *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** ever since. However, my father recently has had issues with his email and cannot access it. He has tried everything to access his email and cannot get into it. In addition, accounts that are attached to his email, including the Minecraft we have, are also inaccessible. I would like to change the email for the account to *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***, which is my email to avoid the issues my father is having with his account and so I can manage the Minecraft account myself (after all, he bought it for me; I am his son).

    How can I transfer my gamer tag when I cannot sign onto an old account?

    Thank you again. My account is now active and I was able to get into Xbox live, perform updates and verify my account so my downloaded content is avail.

    I would like to transfer this profile TouringGlint02 to another account since I cannot access the email address it is attached to. Is there anyway to a transfer profile/gamer tag or change the email address for a profile?

    Hi,

    Checking that Xbox Family link has reaffirmed the same issue I have had for several years. My account is still considered a child account as it is linked to my father’s Xbox 360 era account.

    He lost access to the email attached to the parent account and lost the password years ago. He has also unfortunately since passed away.

    As a result, I am unable to access his account and remove my child account status. Is there any other route I can go down in solving this issue?

    Hey there S3NT1N3LI7,

    Thank you for reaching out to us on the forums. You are able to update that primary email for your account but you cannot update it with an email that has an existing Xbox account attached to the email. In this case you are unable to use email 2 for the
    account with email 1 since email 2 already has an xbox account attached to it.

    What I would advise is creating a new email address and then adding it as an alias for your account with email 1. You can take a look at the following support article for proper steps in updating the alias.
