I can not sign into the Xbox app on my PC

Hello,

I have recently gotten a PC and I was excited to use my Xbox Game Pass subscription that I have had for a while. I upgraded from the console only plan to the Unlimited plan. Upon installing the Xbox App on my PC I was greeted with a sign-in prompt and after selecting “sign in” my screen flashed grey 3-5 times and then closed. I have attempted this a multitude of times and always receive the grey screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application, have attempted to repair and reset the app, I have search through multiple forums with no avail. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hello There! I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps mentioned on the links bellow to resolve the issue.

make sure your pc is fully up to date with windows update under settings, then also make sure all apps are up to date via checking windows store and updates.

also got to settings, account and make sure it has been verified.

when on their account on the pc load xbox app and sign out, sign in with your details and redownload the game, it will be nearly instant as it is already installed, just creates links, then sign out of the xbox app and back in with their account, they can then play normally, i do this all the time with all my kids pcs.
